Origins at the HSG: from the study idea to the start-up
We are pleased to announce that CorpIn GmbH - which emerged from projects during our studies at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) - has reached a special milestone. The entire business idea of CorpIn emerged directly from the bachelor theses of our founders at HSG, in which they dealt with the practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) in companies and the challenges of digital transformation. The decision to found their own company developed from this academic foundation. What began as a vision in lecture halls and libraries has quickly developed into an innovative AI strategy consultancy based in St.Gallen.
Official spin-off label: seal of quality for innovation and business success
We have recently been officially awarded the "Spin-Off University of St.Gallen" label - a distinction awarded by the HSG to selected young companies. In order to receive this HSG Spin-Off label, strict criteria must be met. These include, among others
- Innovative strength, i.e. the use of new technologies or methods developed at the university
- Solid business model with a coherent business plan and sustainable orientation
- Knowledge and technology transfer from the university into practice, i.e. the commercialization of HSG research results
According to the HSG, this label stands for exceptional innovation potential and a sustainable business model. For us at CorpIn, certification as an HSG Spin-Off is not only an honor, but also proof of our scientific foundation and a vote of confidence in our strategy. Spin-offs from the University of St.Gallen enjoy increased credibility in the market and benefit from the network and support of the HSG community - an advantage that we are happy to pass on to our clients by incorporating the latest findings and best practices from the HSG into our consulting projects.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our special thanks to the HSG Entrepreneurship Team (Startup@HSG). Dr. Bernd F. Schneider, Maria Luisa Fuchs and Prof. Dietmar Grichnik have supported us in word and deed on the way to the spin-off label. Their expertise and commitment to young founders were invaluable to us. We are equally proud of the fact that our entire team consists of HSG alumni and students. This shared HSG 'DNA' shapes our culture: we share the entrepreneurial spirit of the University of St.Gallen and remain true to the vision of combining theory and practice, as we learned during our student days.
Scientifically sound: Bridging the gap between research and practice
CorpIn stands for a science-based consulting approach that combines research, business analysis and modern AI technology. We are convinced that real innovation comes from bridging the gap between theory and practice - which is why our proximity to research is one of our biggest USPs. For example, together with the HSG, we conducted a large-scale study with 1,338 decision-makers from Swiss companies to develop an empirically based model for measuring the digital maturity level of companies. This unique maturity model (CorpIn Hexagon), fed by over 1,300 data sets and 56 parameters, serves as the basis for us to precisely assess a company's AI maturity level in six dimensions. In other words: We quantify the status quo of digital transformation scientifically and derive data-based strategies from this.
Our dual competence - HSG business expertise and AI know-how - makes us real bridge builders. We combine business know-how with technical excellence to turn theory into measurable added value in practice. In line with the motto "Bridging the Gap", we bring IT and business together and ensure that the latest research findings have a direct impact on our customers. In this way, we guarantee targeted, measurable results that are scientifically underpinned and practically proven. This approach is also reflected in our label: an HSG spin-off like CorpIn embodies knowledge and technology transfer in practice - a central pillar of our work.
Mission: AI strategy consulting for sustainable digital transformation
Our mission at CorpIn is clearly defined: We anchor AI strategically instead of selectively and accompany companies holistically into the digital future. In concrete terms, this means that we first analyse the digital maturity level of an organization in detail, identify opportunities and weaknesses and develop an individual AI strategy based on this. We then implement tailor-made AI solutions - from data analysis and automated processes to intelligent assistance systems. We always ensure that the solution is tailored precisely to the customer's needs and creates real added value.
This systematic approach allows us to integrate artificial intelligence into our clients' business strategy in the long term instead of simply introducing isolated stand-alone solutions. The benefits for our clients are obvious: more efficient processes, well-founded decisions based on data-driven insights and sustainable optimization of their business models. In short, we make companies fit for digital transformation by supporting them from the initial idea to the full implementation of AI initiatives. In keeping with our HSG roots, we rely on a mix of innovation and sound expertise to help our clients achieve long-term, sustainable success.
Outlook: Vision, scaling and sustainable growth
Looking ahead is just as exciting: CorpIn has a clear vision for the coming years. We are planning a targeted expansion beyond Switzerland into the entire DACH region in order to support even more companies in their digital transformation. At the same time, we are further expanding our business model by developing scalable SaaS products alongside individual consulting - standardized software solutions that enable automated data analysis and AI-supported decision-making, for example. The platformization of our CorpIn Hexagon model is also a central component of our future strategy: through network effects and the expansion into a digital platform, we want to provide companies with even better data-driven insights and best practices in the future.
With this hybrid approach - a combination of customized consulting and scalable digital solutions - we aim to make AI-supported innovation accessible to a wide range of companies. Our long-term vision is to establish ourselves as the market leader for AI strategy consulting and digital transformation in Switzerland and beyond. Sustainable digitalization remains a guiding principle: we not only want to initiate the digital transformation of our clients, but also support them as a long-term partner so that artificial intelligence becomes an integral success factor in their corporate strategy.
With the award as a spin-off of the University of St.Gallen behind us and a passionate team of HSG alumni on board, CorpIn is ready to open the next chapter.
